What does this mean for Hamwic SCITT?

Hamwic SCITT will cease to provide ITT at the end of the academic year 2023-24. However, ɫ will work in partnership with Bath Spa University, our current PGCE provider, to provide a widened set of routes into teaching. We will be working with Bath Spa ahead of the recruitment round opening in October to establish how we promote the new provision, most likely a signposting through our existing ITT webpage.

How will this work?

Hamwic will become a lead partner in the delivery of ITT, initially a Primary 5-11 route.

We will ask all our schools to continue providing teacher training placements for trainee teachers in the trust and will follow the initial training curriculum developed in partnership with Bath Spa. Their full offer can be accessed here:. Please consider supporting us as a placement school if you are not already part of our partnership and get in contactabbie.wilkinson@hamwic.orgif you would like to offer a training placement for 2024-2025.
